Wal-Mart has announced it will no longer sell the $199 Linux-based PC in its stores.
It will, however, continue to sell the Everex computer, the gPC2, at Walmart.com. The Linux operating system is built on Ubuntu Linux, and is so underpowered that it cannot run Windows.

Perhaps one reason the Linux computers didn’t sell, one might speculate, is that they were low-end computers, with underpowered RAM and other less-than-optimal components.
